Squarespace Note for iOS: Quickly Capture Ideas Without Distraction

By BrothaTech

I love Evernote. It's my default notes application. But I must admit, it could be a little faster in the note-taking area. Could be my fault, though. All of the options it gives me to save, tag, categorize and organize notes, makes the simple task of entering notes…a bigger task than it needs to be. The Squarespace Note app for iOS offer a very clean and fast way to jot notes and sync them with other services.

There is no formatting or organizing with Squarespace note. All you do is select which services you want to sync or send notes to: Squarespace, Dropbox, Email Facebook, Twitter, or (my favorite) Evernote. Once you've decided where you want the notes to go, Ss Note offers a blank canvas, free of any features, options, buttons, or distractions for you to capture your notes.

Ss Note uses gestures to navigate the app. After jotting a note, a swipe up (or down, depending on your settings) in the note area sends the note to your service of choice. Swiping to the left will reveal note sharing options and pulling down on the screen will let you add/remove services. Swiping to the right will uncover previous notes and pulling down on the screen will uncover note editing/deleting options.

And that's all there is to it. I've set up Ss Note to automatically send all notes to a "Jot" folder in Evernote so I can go back and organize the crap out of all my little, temporary notes. For neat-freaks like me, removing all distractions in the note area gives me the ability to put down what I have in my head on proverbial "paper" without worrying about every little note detail. Squarespace note is a free download and you don't need a Squaresquare account to use the app.

Check it out and let us know what you think.
