Listen to Jeff Bridges' 'Sleeping Tapes' Album and Dream With The Dude

Jeff Bridges' new album is a real snoozefest.

That's okay though; he wants it to be. Bridges has released a new album, entitled Jeff Bridges Sleeping Tapes, designed to make listeners fall asleep. He recorded the album with True Detectivecomposer Keefus Ciancia and mastering engineer Doug Sax. Sleeping Tapes combines Bridges' spoken-word pieces and guided meditations, complete with ambient sounds and field recordings.

"While working on the Sleeping Tapes album, we put in some long hours,” Bridges told the Wall Street Journal. “Listening back to our day’s work, I’d often drift off. I’d wake up and smile, saying, ‘This stuff works.' "

Bridges worked with website builder Squarespace to release the album, available now atdreamingwithjeff.com as a pay-what-you-want download or as a free stream. All of the proceeds will benefit Share Our Strength's No Kid Hungry charity.

Squarespace is running a Super Bowl ad featuring Bridges and his album during the first half of the game.
