Squarespace recently hosted its fourth annual Circle Day, a hybrid event for Squarespace Circle’s community of professional web designers and agencies. Thousands of Circle members gathered in person at Squarespace HQ and online for a day of networking and skill-building. Attendees enjoyed exclusive product announcements, as well as sessions geared toward business growth and creative fulfillment. Here are our top five highlights from the event.
1. A lesson in AI search optimization
With the increasing popularity of AI search engines, the role of your website’s search engine optimization (SEO) strategy continues to evolve. SEOSpace founder, Henry Purchase, offered AI optimization (AIO) methods to help you get discovered through large language models. In his session, he shared how you can audit your AI visibility and adapt your content for emerging search behaviors.

2. No-code solutions to level up your website
There are several ways to elevate your Squarespace website—many of which don’t involve custom code. Squarespace Expert Dave Hawkins demonstrated practical no-code solutions to add polish to your website and build a memorable design that reflects your branding. The web designer shared how he applies these techniques to client projects, including how to create uniquely shaped borders for visual content, create a stylized testimonial slider, and layer colors, backgrounds, and images.
3. Insights from Squarespace’s CEO and Chief Brand Officer
The era of AI is upon us. Learn how design and technology leaders are protecting creativity in a conversation with Squarespace’s Founder and CEO, Anthony Casalena, and Chief Brand Officer, David Lee. Moderated by Erica Kung, Senior Director, Creative Production & Operations, Anthony and David discussed how they met, their early days building the Squarespace brand, and how Squarespace is navigating the world of automation.
4. Guidance on overcoming a scarcity mindset
As an entrepreneur, your beliefs, patterns, and fears shape the way you show up in your business. Web designer Marya Nguyen explored how mental and emotional behaviors shape businesses. In this session, Marya shared tips for setting boundaries with customers, honoring your bandwidth, and trusting yourself to do less without losing momentum.
5. New products to empower creativity
Chief Product Officer, Paul Gubbay, gave attendees an exclusive preview of Refresh 2025. He introduced a new suite of tools, Squarespace for Pros, which offers pro-grade customization and editing tools to maximize creative freedom in the website editor, with or without professional design experience.
Highlights of Paul’s announcement include mobile overrides that empower you to create different mobile experiences with independent block settings, and new block settings that give your site extra depth and personality with options to rotate, scale, skew, offset, and change opacity.
Circle Day 2025 brought together web design thought leaders and Squarespace product teams, who unanimously emphasized the importance of embracing human creativity. With new and improved tools to make this possible on Squarespace, there's a lot to learn from this collective of web designers and entrepreneurs.
