A link in bio tool is a landing page for important URLs and brand highlights, designed to be shared in your social media bio section. Link in bio tools like Bio Sites have evolved from a simple list of links into an interactive hub for sharing content, putting your brand on display, and engaging your followers.

Content creators, brands, and businesses can monetize their following directly on their link in bio. Bio Sites lets you monetize with a tip jar and crowdfunding options while connecting to common payment processors. Here’s how to get started and monetize your audience.

1. Connect to payment processors

You need to link your Bio Site to a payment processor to start earning income. Start this process by choosing a monetization option—tip jar or crowdfunding. Next, you’ll get a prompt to choose a processor.

Choose your preferred payment processor—most should be able to accept a variety of payment methods and credit card types. Keep in mind that you’ll pay a processing fee on top of any fees your payment processors charge.

2. Create a tip jar

Add a tipping option to your link in bio so that your followers can show their appreciation for your content. You can accept tips directly via your Bio Site link or by adding a link to your preferred creator tipping platform.

In Bio Sites, simply add a Tips section. You can customize the text followers see on your tip button. Try out wording that feels approachable and encouraging without being pushy. Some examples might be, “Support my work” or “Show your support”.

You can also set suggested tip amounts. Followers will have the option to choose a preset amount or enter a custom amount. Make sure to include a lower-priced option in the mix so that supporters feel encouraged to give, no matter the size of their tip. From there, Bio Sites guides your followers through the payment process.

Once you add a tipping option, call it out to your followers. Mention it and link to your Bio Site in your posts, stories, and videos.

3. Crowdfund for a project or cause

Make your friends and followers part of your success story by adding a crowdfunding option to your Bio Site. You can use crowdfunding to raise money for a personal project or new business or collect donations for a good cause.

You can create more than one crowdfunding section on your Bio Site if you’re fundraising for more than one goal. Customize the section with a photo or update the button text to give your followers an idea of what you’re working toward.

Like the tip jar, you can add suggested donation amounts, and followers can choose a set amount or send a custom amount. You’ll get a notification when you hit your goal and can end the funding or raise your goal amount.

Make sure to share a link to your crowdfunding project with your followers and keep them updated on progress

4. Paywall links to exclusive content

You can share and gate your premium content all in your link in bio. Making some of your content exclusive is a great way to earn passive income and you can apply payment locks to any type of content you make.

For example, you could paywall recipes, travel guides, behind-the-scenes videos, playlists, and more. Think of the content your followers most like to see from you and test an exclusive in that category.

With Bio Sites, use the locked links feature to create paywalled URLs. Share a preview of the content in posts or stories and point followers to your link in bio to encourage clicks.
