You can send SMS campaigns to US phone numbers. If your contact lists have phone numbers from different countries, they'll be excluded.

SMS Campaigns is available as a paid add-on subscription with credit-based plans ranging from $10 to $322 per month. Every plan includes business verification, consent collection, link shortening, message personalization, real-time analytics, scheduled sends, and unlimited contacts. SMS credits are what your plan uses to send messages. One credit is roughly 70 characters. The number of credits a campaign uses equals the number of credits in your message multiplied by the number of recipients, so a one-credit message sent to 500 people uses 500 credits. Credits replenish each month. If you run out before the next billing period, you can upgrade your plan at any time to get more. Learn more about how SMS credits work.

Yes. Before sending, you'll need to verify your business to receive a dedicated toll-free US phone number. Verification is required by SMS carrier networks and applicable regulations and is handled by a third-party provider. It typically takes 3 to 5 days, but can take up to a week or longer. Some business types aren't permitted to send SMS campaigns due to rules set by carrier networks and applicable laws, not by Squarespace. Industries that aren't eligible include alcohol, firearms, gambling, cannabis, cryptocurrency, adult content, and several others. For the full list, see our business verification guide.

You can collect subscribers by adding a form block to your Squarespace site. It includes a built-in phone number field with a consent checkbox and opt-in language that meets carrier requirements. Yes. Federal law (the Telephone Consumer Protection Act) requires businesses to observe Quiet Hours, which are time periods when marketing texts can't be delivered. By default, we don't send messages between 9:00 PM and 8:00 AM in the recipient's local time zone, as determined by their phone's area code. Some states have additional restrictions. Yes. When you're ready to send a campaign, you can choose to deliver it immediately or schedule it for a specific date and time. Keep Quiet Hours restrictions in mind when scheduling, as campaigns that fall within a restricted window will be held and sent when the window ends.

Absolutely. SMS Campaigns integrates with your existing contacts and email marketing setup, so you can reach your audience across both channels from a single platform. Your contact lists are shared, making it easy to coordinate campaigns without duplicating your work. However, please note that Email Campaigns and SMS Campaigns are billed separately, so you will need to subscribe to both individually to have access to both.
