Here's a First Look at Super Bowl LI's Commercial Line Up

As always, expectations are high for this year's slew of Super Bowl commercials, which reportedly cost a whopping $5 million for a 30-second spot. As The Big Game™ in Houston approaches, Super Bowl 51 advertisers have already begun rolling out details and teasers for their 30-90 seconds in the spotlight on February 5. Here's a look at what we can expect from this year's lineup (so far).

Mr. Clean

Super Bowl first-timer Mr. Clean will be making a pretty risqué debut during the third quarter this year. The full 30-second commercial, titled "Cleaner of Your Dreams," has already been released on YouTube.


For their fourth Super Bowl appearance, Squarespace has decided to lend a hand to aspiring fashion designer, John Malkovich. And you thought he was just in actor. In the director's cut of the pre-game spot, Malkovich enlists the web developer's help in setting up a website for his designs and taking on another John Malkovich, who is, apparently, really into fishing.


Unlike last year's singing Steven Tyler portrait, this year's Skittles Super Bowl commercial comes sans superstar. Instead, the candy company has opted to tell a humble, romantic tale. The complete commercial, which will air during the first quarter, is already available.


There is no escaping Tom Brady this year. The Patriots star will also make an appearance in this year's Intel advertisement. The brand was first to release its teaser, which gives us a glimpse into the life of the superhuman at home.


The website developing company is back for round two, and this year, they're not messing around. Wix launched their Super Bowl campaign via Facebook Live (an industry first) on January 17. The ad, directed by Louis Leterrier, will feature impressively good looking duo Gal Gadot and Jason Statham.


Hyundai is not in the business of standard commercials this year. The South Korean car company announced that their 90-second, documentary-style commercial will be filmed, edited, and produced during the game. Former NFL champions Joe Montana and Mike Singletary both made appearances in teasers for the ambitious ad, which is scheduled to air immediately after the game.

Turbo Tax

Humpty Dumpty, of nursery rhyme notoriety, landed a lead role in Turbo Tax's first teaser, which aired during the Steelers-Patriots AFC Championship Game Sunday night. Cover your eyes, kids—Humpty's fall is not pretty.


Kia will be advertising its 2017 Niro with some help from Melissa McCarthy this year. A 15-second teaser starring the actress and comedian let fans know to keep an eye out in between plays during the third quarter.


The luxury automaker released an extended cut of its Super Bowl commercial, titled "Man and the Machine" on Monday. The video features the dance moves of Lil Buck, the voice of spokeswoman Minnie Driver, and a look at the new Lexus LS and LC.

Avocados from Mexico

Should Super Bowl Commercial awards come around one of these days (definitely not out of the question, at this rate), Avocados From Mexico's 30-second preview, during which John Lovitz tries out his hypnotic abilities, would most definitely take the cake for creepiest teaser.


Fellow Mars brand, Snickers, did not follow Skittles' lead on star power. Instead, the candy bar company announced that this year's continuation of the 'You're Not You When You're Hungry' campaign will feature Star Wars' Adam Driver.

Other advertisers include Bai, 84 Lumber, Anheuser-Busch brands, and most of the big names in cars. Meanwhile, Doritos will be sitting out for the first time in ten years. BMW has also opted out for 51.
